Summary
The Senior SEC Reporting Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Company’s SEC filing process, internal controls over financial reporting, and technical accounting matters. This position will work closely with the Senior Manager of SEC Reporting and gain hands-on exposure to Workiva, Form 4 filings, equity accounting, consolidation, cash flow statements, and other complex workpapers. The role offers significant learning and growth opportunities in a fast-paced, publicly traded environment.
Responsibility
- Support the preparation and filing of periodic SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) including tie-out of financial statements, footnotes, and exhibits.
- Master the Workiva platform (training provided) for financial statement drafting, collaboration, and filing processes.
- Prepare and file Section 16 Form 4s accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with SEC Requirements.
- Assist with complex technical accounting workpapers, including equity rollforwards, non-controlling interest accounting, EPS calculations, financial statement consolidation, and statement of cash flows.
- Support the preparation and review of the Company’s quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) reports on Form 10-K/10-Q, including drafting disclosures and performing tie-out procedures.
- Coordinate with external auditors by preparing and responding to audit support requests related to SEC filings and related workpapers.
- Assist with preparation of earnings releases and supporting schedules.
- Research technical accounting and disclosure issues as needed to support the SEC reporting function.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the SEC reporting workflow.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years public accounting experience.
- Preference for candidates who have been exposed to the full scope of an audit engagement.
- Familiarity with SEC reporting, financial statement preparation, or related disclosure workpapers is a plus.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Exceptioinal Communicatioin skills.
- Driven to improve processes and must be a team player.
